Who Is Haley Huxley?

Haley’s life has always been theatrical. Born in New York City the morning after Yom Kippur, her mother’s doctor barely it to the delivery, as he was at temple for most of the labor.

Haley grew up and spent most of her time and education in New Hope, Pennsylvania living in an old farm house built around 1775. Being an only child, she had an abundance of imagination and an ability to create the best stories. Her parents, being great lovers of the arts, sparked her interest in theatre and the performing arts from a young age. Still having an apartment in New York City from when her father worked there, they drove in almost every weekend (however many cats and all) and experienced all the city had to offer. Every show they went to, they took Haley along with them. Except for Avenue Q. At 7, she was deemed a little too young. From Haley’s first show at 3, Cats, no really, which she saw four times, she was hooked. And it wasn’t just because of the kitties. At her second show 42nd Street, she was found tap dancing along side the actors at the stage door.

Though a shy child, any chance to be in the spotlight, Haley took advantage of. She took ballet, musical theatre classes, and singing lessons. And she performed in many local plays and musicals including Honk as Ugly, and A Year with Frog and Toad as a Bird/Snail. When Haley was 12, she made her career choice and decided that between becoming a veterinarian or becoming an actor, she truly felt at home with the latter. With many thanks to her extremely supportive parents, Haley went on to pursue her BFA in Music Theatre from The Hartt School. She now holds that degree and has since officially moved to New York City, performed onstage and in film and television, and has even been nominated for an acting award. She hopes to continue pursing her dreams and reaching for the moon, knowing even if she doesn’t make it, she’ll land amongst the stars.
